Term 1 2010
In Religious Education I am
Learning about the life of
Jesus.

In my life this means I will

show how I am learning to
manage myself because I
am a friend of Jesus when I
am strong and turn away
from doing the wrong thing.
 In Reading I am learning to
make connections.

I do this by thinking about my

prior knowledge and
comparing it to what's in the
story. This helps me to
understand the text.
 In Writing I am working at
Level 2/3.

I am most proud of my
improvements in my use of
onomatopoeia. This makes
my writing more descriptive
and makes the reader read on.
In Numeracy I am working at
Stage 6.

I am really proud of my
improvements in rounding
whole numbers to the
nearest 10, 100, 1000.
 In my learning I am most
proud of swimming sports
because I have improved
since last year and I came

3rd in 50m
backstroke.
 Some of the tools I use
to help me in my
learning are computers
because I use Excel to graph
my data. I also use talking
partners because they help
me to share my thoughts and
ideas.
 Some of the new
opportunities I have taken
on in my class and school
are librarian, Kapa-haka,
Basketball, Eucharistic
choir, orchestra, Year 6
responsibilities, tidy kiwis
and guitar.
I show that I am following
Jesus’ example of Love as
a SUPER Achiever when I
show Unity by learning and
playing with others
peacefully, co-operatively
and inclusively.
