1st Grade Weekly News

October 13th 16th

This week we are Going
Batty in 1st Grade! We will not
be working in our regular
reading series. 1st graders will
be learning about bats and
studying both fiction and
nonfiction books about bats.
The main book we will be
studying is Stellaluna. Since
we have such a busy schedule
this week, 1st grade teachers
will not be giving any tests this
week. Woo Hoo! We are
very excited about our field trip
to Calhoun Produce on
Thursday! I would like for my
students to wear a RED shirt
on the field trip. Also, the
buses will be leaving promptly
at 8:30 a.m. that morning, so
please make sure your child is
at school on time. We are
looking forward to a fun week
in 1st Grade!
