NUMBER 7 / AUTUMN TERM 2014 / WEDNESDAY 15TH OCTOBER 2014
PTA
Tickets will be on sale from Monday 20th October for
the Halloween Disco. Price of the tickets is 2.50, which
will include a drink and a portion of chips. Please see
members of the PTA in the library area every morning
for your tickets, or send money in with your child.
The disco will be held after school on Thursday 23rd
October. The Reception/KS1 disco will be from 5.30pm
until 6.30pm and the KS2 disco from 6.45pm until
7.45pm.
Further details about the disco are on the PTA page on
the website - paper copies will be on the way this week!
Many thanks to the PTA who have funded additional
iPads for the children. Each class now has two iPads
for their use in addition to the bank of iPads which are
used on a rota basis.
CAKE AND TOY SALE
Aaron and Paige and their friends will be holding a
small cake and toy sale next Monday. They would like
to raise a few more pounds for Macmillans and also for
St Lukes Hospice. They have involved Year 5 children
in bringing some cakes and toys to school and will be
having their sale at playtime. They would be grateful if
you could send your child into school with some change
on Monday, please.
SCHOOL TERM DATES
The term dates for next academic year are now
available on the school website (under the Parents
tab).
HOME-SCHOOL AGREEMENT
Please send in any signed home-school agreements
into the school office before the end of the week. If you
have misplaced your paper copy, additional copies can
be downloaded from the Policies section (under the
Our School tab) of the school website.
SCHOOL MENU SWAP
Please note that on Thursday next week (23rd
October), the children will be served food from the
Friday menu instead.
When the children return after the half term holiday, the
first Wednesday will be a special Bonfire lunch instead
of what is advertised on the menu.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Can I remind you that the children break up next
Thursday with school finishing at the usual time. The
staff will be working on Friday and are involved in a
training day. We welcome the children back on
Monday 3rd November.
This will be the last newsletter for this half term as I am
out of school next week for two days getting an update
to my Safeguarding training. Miss Jardine will be happy
to see you, in my absence, or you can email me as
usual.
