Early Years Christmas Performance

Tuesday 10th December 2013 the Nursery and Reception Classes will be showing their Christmas Nativity. Our families with children in the Early Years are invited to attend at either 10.30am or 2.15pm. For Safeguarding purposes, no personal cameras or video recording equipment will be permitted. There will be an opportunity for you to take individual pictures of your child after the performance. Thank you for your co-operation.

Heres a reminder of events happening at Chingford Hall during the last two weeks of term to celebrate the Festive season: Tues 10th December Early Years Nativity play ( 10.30am and 2.30pm) Fri 13th December Christmas Fete in the school hall (3.15pm) Mon 16th December Christmas sing along (10.35am), Early Years party (pm) Tues 17th December Malcolms assembly, school Christmas dinner Wed 18th December Pantomime for KS1 and KS2 Thurs 19th December Last day of term. School finishes at 2.30 pm. Please ensure that children are picked up at 2.30 pm on the last day of term. There will be a fine imposed for any children who are not picked up on time.

School Christmas Dinner

Christmas dinner is on Tuesday 17th December. If your child usually has a packed lunch but would like to have Christmas dinner in school, this must be booked at a cost of 1.70 by Friday 6th December at the school office. Please note that bookings for Christmas dinner cannot be taken on the day of the dinner.

After school Club On the last day of term our after school club will run from 2.30 until 5.00pm. A reminder letter will be sent out by the staff next week. Christmas cards

Parents/Carers can come to the school office a little earlier on that day ( 3.00pm) to collect their child/children for the fete. Toys on the last day of term Children are allowed to bring in toys/games from home on the last day of term but not electrical games. While we will endeavour to make sure that these toys/games are kept safe, we cannot take responsibility for any item that is lost or broken.

Our school Christmas post box is now open. Deliveries will only be made on Fridays so that is when the children should bring their cards into school to post. We are limiting the delivery times as even though it is great to celebrate the festive season, it is important that childrens learning time isnt disrupted as there is still a lot to do in the next two weeks. Christmas fete This years Christmas fete will take place on Friday 13th December from 3.00-4.30p.m.

Morrisons Text Santa Bag Pack Next Thursday some of our children have been asked to take part in the Text Santa Bag Pack at Morrisons as part of the annual charity appeal. They will be helping customers to pack their shopping.

There will be lots of great stalls including guess the weight of the cake, a raffle, a Christmas craft stall, nail decorating and of course a chance to visit Santas grotto. The cost of entry to the fete will be 1.00 each for adults and children aged 4 and above.

Extended school clubs Next week ( week beginning 9.12.13) will be the last week this term for our homework clubs, morning and after school sports clubs and drumming club. The last dance club this term will be on 6th December. These clubs will start again on the first week back at school ( week beginning 6.1.14).
