Activity 1
Warm up
The T organises students in groups. The T expalin to them that they have to write
as many words as they remember related to their room. The T will write on the
Blackboard letters: B, R, T, L, W, M, C, D, N, A. The students have to find words that
begin with these letters.
Interaction: Ss-T, T-Ss, Ss-Ss
Timing: 7 minutes
Activity 2
Presentation
a) Introducing new vocabulary
The T asks students what words did they found for each letter. Then she asks
them to open their books at page 14 and have a look on those words and explain
identify them in the image. They write them in their notebooks.
b) Presentation
The T puts the pen on a box and asks student where the pen is. Then she
moves the pen in order to introduce the others prepositions.
Activity 3
Practice
The T asks student to read the task from exercise 2. They have to complete Spikes
description of her room with the correct prepositions.

Activity 4
Production
The T asks students to write a short description of their room by using the
prepositions of place.

The T explains to students the task from exercise 4. They have to describe the
carpet, curtains and furniture, using the word below.
