MyartifactismycollaborativelessonplanthatusedtheSmartboard.Itwas
overfirstgradeshapes.Theartifactwasawayformetogettoknowhowtouse
theSmartboardandalsoplanandteachalessonwhilecollaboratingwithother
studentsandotherteachers.ThiswascompletedintheFallof2015for
Educationaltechnology

Step3:PurposeoftheStandard

Asafutureteacherstandardfiveisveryimportantbecauseitemcompassesthe
definitionofteaching.Beingabletoteachstudentstoconnectconceptsand
usedifferingperspectivewhensolvingaproblem.Thisthedefinitiononhowto
bethebestteacherIcanbe.

Step4:AnalysisoftheArtifact

Thisartifactchangedfirstmyviewonjusthowdifficultbeingateacheris.Just
doingthelessonplanwasverychallenging.Thenhavingtorelyonothersis
alsoverystressful.ThisartifactchangedthewaysIviewfirstgradeandearly
education.Ididnotrealizejusthowhardtheirjobactuallyis,andhowdifficultit
istokeepafirstgradersattentionduringalesson.
Becauseofdoingthisartifact,Iwillnownotjustknowhowtoplanandteacha
lessonbutalsobeabletomaintainthestudentsattentionsandseethebest
wayforthemtolearn.Iwillalsolookatanearlyeducationteacherina
completelynewlight,Iwillseethemassomeofthehardestworkingteacher
thereare.
