Pennants (one of each Wildcat Way element)
Writing utensil (provided by students)

Corner signs (for each Wildcat Way element)

PREPARATION NEEDED:
Put corner signs in the four corners of your room. (ie. Respect in one corner, Responsible in another etc.)
Have supplies ready to hand out

Review the Wildcat Way elements (1 minute)


1. Respect
2. Responsibility
3. Participation
4. Perseverance
Hand out one card to each student (blind draw) (1 minute)
Each student silently reads their card and writes and answer to their statement, each student will
have one of the following cards (2 minutes)
Respect means
Responsibility means
Participation means
Perseverance means
Students go to the corner that matches their Wildcat Way element (Respect cards to one corner,
Responsible to another etc.) (1 minute)
Once in the corner, students introduce themselves and read their statement to the small group. The
other group members share their feedback. **Teacher explains, after each statement/opinion is read, the
other students in the group will respond with one of the following statements: (6 minutes)
I strongly agree with your statement because
I somewhat agree with your statement because...
I strongly disagree with your statement because....
I somewhat disagree with your statement because...
Each group decides on one statement (or combined statement) that they agree on (2 minutes)
Each group selects one group member to read their statement to the full group
Students come back to the large group
Each group reads their statement to the full Advisory group (2 minutes)
Statement is printed neatly on the corresponding pennants (1 minute)
Students reflect on the collaboration process, have them write down three reflection comments on the
back of their card (3 minutes)
Ribbon is weaved through each pennants (1 minute)
Pennants are hung up in the classroom
Weekend update (if time permits)
