Summary:

To conclude this survey, many of

the results found held true to the
statistics. For example, our
generation spends more than 2
hours on social media, or some
other form of technology every
day. Which is one of the reasons
prevalence for diabetes has
increased, less exercise is being
done by the people. Secondly,
when asked if they knew the
difference between type 1 and 2
diabetes many answered yes and
did not provide an explanation.
Out of the 11 participants which
did respond only two people
answered the exact difference
between type 1 and 2 diabetes.
In type 1 diabetes, the body's
immune system destroys the
cells that release insulin,
eventually eliminating insulin
production from the body.
Without insulin, cells cannot
absorb sugar, which they need to
produce energy. Type 2 is called
insulin resistance. As type 2
diabetes gets worse, the
pancreas may make less and less
insulin. This is called insulin

to raise awareness for diabetes

unaware of the severity and

the severity or prevalence of
diabetes in our world.
2. Diabetes is more prevalent
