Product Description
This transmitter/receiver is like a cone with a circular base but as it rises it
becomes narrower and has another circular face at the top. It has the
design of a cylinder but becomes more narrow at one end.
Operation
The transmitter will send out a signal to the receiver. After the receiver
has obtained that signal, it then sends another signal back to the
transmitter. A timer will start once the signal is first sent from the
transmitter and will be stopped by the time that it has received its signal.
Since the signal has a set velocity, it will then multiply the time it
calculated by the constant velocity and give the user the distance between
the sensors.
Justification
This design is like the cone but instead of one flat base, there is two which
allows you to use both sides. This allows for the sensor to be placed on
either side of the design. This design would be effective if used when
stuck to a wall.
