Spec'd, managed, and shipped two significant applications on the Paxata data preparation platform, along with
regular monthly release of features and bug fixes for the core platform. Primary point of contact for for customer
support and business teams, coordinated release planning, and facilitated bug triage across three small
engineering teams. Created demos, wrote blog posts, and recorded videos for customers and prospects.

Socrata 2012 2013, Seattle, WA

Gathered requirements, defined vision and recruited team to build the first application on Socrata's open data
platform into an independent business unit. Lead training for sales, marketing and customers. Involved heavily
with customer support, on-call rotation, and event planning. Helped grow company from 10 to 85 with a fun and
collaborative culture.
GovStat: Interactive visualization dashboard to communicate data-driven local government goals to their
constituents. Drag-and-drop authoring for data and policy owners to tell a data-driven story without coding.

Microsoft, summer 2006, 2007- 2012, Redmond, WA

Bing M onetization: Increased revenue by 6% for search text ads with new features and style changes,
conducted experiments and analyzed results with A/B testing, managed display ads for travel properties, liaison
for partners.
Live Labs: Lead 75 person project team to successfully ship and gracefully shut down Pivot, a data visualization
