What is PBL?
An approach to build authentic learning in the
classroom.
It is a well designed project so that students
can encounter concepts and principles
related to a certain discipline

Learning can be more interesting


and effective for students if the
teacher focuses on topics that are
relatable to students and by also
focusing on students' interests

Give students choices!!

Teaches students how to communicate,
present, manage time, do research,
participate in groups, build leadership skills,
build inquiry skills, and self assess and
reflect on their projects

How to asses students

Students can be assessed by making


powerpoint presentation to the class,
presentation using a project board, or by
acting out a script they have developed
about their project that is aligned to the
common core standards for their grade level
