I value traits in people that make everyones lives easier. I value honesty, integrity, and
reliability in the workplace. These traits decrease the amount of stress that everyone has to go
through and makes things flow more smoothly. I value respect and open-mindedness in personal
conversations and interactions. I value these traits because I believe that people dont deserve to
have to dread going to work because they worry about suffering through another day of
disrespect and micro aggressions directed toward them. I value hard work and perseverance in
every aspect of life. Having these traits allow you to get where you want to be. I value
contentedness in all aspects of life. I believe that while happiness is fleeting and is a momentary
high, being content with where you are in life will persist throughout the good and the bad.
My academic aspirations becoming reality will depend on money, so I dont expect to
reach them, but they are my dreams regardless. Ideally, I want to get a doctorate in both English
language and molecular biology, if I can find the money to do it. My passion and ability for both
of those subjects are identical, and I want to learn as much as I can about both. I want to be well
rounded in my education, but also specialize in those two fields.
By the time I retire from my career, I want to be well-known in my chosen field. I want to
be a common household name for something Ive done. I want to be respected by my peers and
my subordinates. I want to be liked by my colleagues. I want people to call me when they run
into problems or things that they dont understand. I want to be at least a footnote in science
textbooks or literary theses.
My belief is that everyone is entitled to justice. Whereas equal treatment would be
sufficient if everyone had the same needs, seeking justice for everyone ensures that people are
given what they need. I believe that knowledge is the only real power we can own, and that to
have knowledge prevents others from taking advantage of you. When you have knowledge, you

can be kind to the fullest extent without worrying that people will take advantage of it. Being
kind to the fullest extent is something that I believe we should all be raised into doing.
I enjoy life, and want to continue to do so. I want to be disappointed when the week is
over, I want to prefer going to work to goofing around on the weekend. I want to be excited
when I wake up, ready to start the day. I think that dreading five days out of the week is a
horrible way to live, and I want to avoid it if I can. I want to be able to be passionate about what
I do, to enjoy almost everything that comes with a job. I dont want to dread going to work. I
dont want to dread more than .05% of the things that go on in my life.
In conclusion, I value traits that make things easier for other people. I want to be a certified
expert in what I am passionate about. I want to be a common household name for something I
have done for the world. I believe that people are entitled to a fulfilling, relatively stress-free
existence. I think that people shouldnt have to dread a majority of their week while only
enjoying two-sevenths of it. I know that I will make a difference in this world, and it wont be for
letting life get the best of me before I graduate high school.
