Tom plans to start a rock music magazine targeting 16-30 year olds. The magazine will be called "Rock'n'Roller" and will feature new and up-and-coming rock bands through interviews, reviews, and a free CD included each month with tracks from various artists. • My secondary sub genre is a mixture , of classic rock, Soft rock and rock and roll / blues Name of the Magazine • I want the name of my magazine to be fairly short and very memorable and to reflect my Genre . A few of my idea were • U . A . C ( for up and coming) • ROCK’N’ROLLER • ROCK NATION • CLASSIC ROCKER • MODERN ROCKER
• I decided to choose “ROCK’N’ROLLER”
because its origional and quite catchy and it looks very cool on the page. Audience
• im at targeting my magazine at people
aged 16 - 30 as I think this age region will be the most interested in the magazine . Also because people any younger my not be into this music and much older may find it more irritating than inspiring . TagLine • My tag line I wanted to be original, so I chose between these • “….bettering the best , Everyday“ • “..just gives you that feeling “ • “…music savanna” • “…like Jesus to the guitar” • “… listening to you “ • “...Release the rock” • I chose release the rock as it best suits my name and also is very memorable Unique Selling Point • I will have a free CD every month with a combination of new artists and bands tracks to help get there music out into the music community and to help up and coming groups get started, as I would imagine most people like free things especially CD’s, Also main features on new groups which should interest readers . Ideas for front cover
• Some ideas for my front cover .
• Firstly I want to have one main image with a couple of smaller images neatly placed around the outside to liven up the page also lots of bold text as to atract the readers attention Ideas for double page spread
• I would like to do a article on a new band
that’s coming through the ranks as this is the unique selling point of my magazine to feature new bands and mix this with the classics . I plan to have lots of images scattered over the page to brake up the large article. I want to write about a new band and interview fans and band members, possibly one of my friends bands that im quite involved in. Brand identity
• My brand identity will be that we the featuring
and promotion of new and up and coming rock bands, this will involve reviews and a free CD every week with the best tracks from a selection of CD’s we will ask readers to send in , anyone can send them in we will review them and any we like we will put on a mixed track and give them out for free to every reader.
