The document discusses the conventions and rhetorical techniques used in political articles to persuade audiences. It argues that political articles are written with the goal of impacting the intended audience. Each paragraph then provides examples to support this thesis, such as how pictures, quotes, and rhetoric are used to persuade, and how recognizing these conventions is important to understand how readers may be influenced. The conclusion restates that political authors aim to alter readers' views through persuasive writing.

Conclusion that basically
restates the point and makes the connection to its relevance in our everyday lives.
This directly connects to my
argument because it is an example of a convention that functions to persuade the audience. The quotes is another convention that is used to persuade the audience, therefore, it supports my argument in the same way paragraph 3 does. It is once again supporting my argument by claiming that the rhetoric that authors use is mainly aimed to persuade their audience. I also give examples of different ways this is done rhetorically. I connect this to my argument by saying that the writers likely go about writing the articles differently because they think it will be more effective in terms of convincing their audience. This supports my argument because I state that we can be mislead by authors of political articles whos main goal is to persuade us. I restate my argument but also support it by adding that the authors aim of persuasion can alter our views of aspects of the American government.
