Visual Rhetoric in Persepolis Blurb
For this essay, I was asked to explain Marjane Satrpis use of visual rhetoric in her book
Persepolis. I felt like my Persepolis essay was one of my better papers this semester. I believe I
did better with this paper because we spent more time in class discussing the book. By
participating in these in-depth discussions, I was better able to form an opinion of how Satrapi
uses rhetoric. I also really enjoyed discussing and figuring out her use of rhetoric. In addition, I
think one of the reasons that this was a stronger paper for me is I did find the topic of this paper
extremely interesting.
When I went back to revise this paper, I mainly focused on editing. I went through my
paper, trying to make sure everything was spaced correctly. Another thing I really looked at is my
use of commas. I also changed some of the wording in parts of my paper, including the thesis to
try to make it stronger.
