LETTER TO

Chief Minister, Karnataka Siddaramaiah

Honble Sir,

DATED-:9TH DEC.2015

Sub: WASTE HANDLING AND DISPOSAL

We, the citizens of India are hereby requesting you to please effectively solve the
problem of garbage handling once and for all. Aggressive steps are required for giving us
relief. Several Dengue cases have been reported lately. Other health problems that arise
are well known to you.
No doubt, some work has and is being done by the corporations.. This is neither
consistent nor adequate. One can see this by sparing a couple of hours going around
various localities in the cities.
Main issues seen -

1. Irregular collection of garbage as a result of which, piles of

bags sit in the premises of houses for days together.
2. Dumps of garbage in the vacant sites.
3. Piled garbage dumps along foot paths, caused by some erring
house holders, street cart vendors, some commercial
establishments and other parties.
4. Garbage dumps around some overflowing and broken dust
bins.
5. Burning of plastic bags loaded with wet and dry garbage,
plastic items etc emitting obnoxious and carcinogenic fumes
which is causing great concern. (This is done by your sanitary
staff).
6. This has been brought to the attention of concerned officers
and other authorities several times in the past but in vain. Action
has been highly unsatisfactory and inconsistent.

Garbage cess included in the property tax is being paid by us regularly. Hence, we expect
reasonable action from your end.
Please take concrete steps to effectively solve this problem on a war footing.
We are prepared to be of any help in your efforts.
Yours Truly
