To the AWPPW Locals

I have written and attached a statement in support of Roger Schultz who is running
for AWPPW Secretary Treasurer. I would kindly ask that you print and share this letter
and attached posting with your membership.
I have been the OR/ID/UT/VA Trustee for the past 14 years. I have had the
opportunity and pleasure to work along side Roger Schultz from Local 155 Port Angeles,
WA for the past 4 years. Roger has demonstrated, in many ways, the ability to be a true
leader in our organization. He is quickly able to assess matters, and is not afraid or
intimated when challenged by individuals or situations which may arise. He is very
capable of being trained in a short period of time. He is ready and able to fulfill the
duties, functions and responsibilities of this position for the long term.
Roger showed his interest four years ago by stepping up to take on the
responsibilities as the Northern WA Trustee. He is the only candidate running who has
been directly involved in the financial process of the Union and is ready to transition
himself to the next level no matter what it takes.
The position of Secretary Treasurer is by far one of the most important positions
within our organization. It is for that reason alone that the Executive Officers took so
long in deciding on the transition process. It was stressed more then once that the person
who runs for this position should be committed for many years to come. We cant
afford to have someone elected who is running for the short term and or personal
financial gain. We need someone who is well qualified and committed to the future of
this great union! Roger fits all of this criteria.
I have been very committed to this group for many years. I have tremendous
passion for this great union and ask that you trust me in my recommendation. Please
support me in this process by encouraging your fellow brothers and sister to cast their
vote for Roger Schultz.
