AUXILIARY FAILURE EVENT ANALYSIS REPORT

Auxiliary Failed :

C/M-1A tripped at 15:25 Hrs.

Brief description of Event :

Running C/M-1A tripped all of a sudden with E/F indication. After

checking by E/M & TIC no E/F found. C/M Taken back in service at
16:50 Hrs.

Observation :

C/M-1A E/F Relay & Master trip Relay on 6.6 KV Breaker panel
found operated.
The same incidence with the same C/M again occurred on
03/05/2012 at 13:15 Hrs.

Analysis of failure :

Relay replaced, Earth fault current measured showing 0.15 mA. In

other motors it is 0 mA. Setting is 20 mA. Motor to be checked.

New Marathon make C/M motor installed & checked leakage

current & replaced the old cable.

ACTION :

Recommendation:

During COH of mill, relay as well as motor to be checked.
