Kendall J. Powell is the CEO of General Mills. General Mills is the company behind
numerous food brands including Lucky Charms, Betty Crocker, and Totinos Pizza. Powell
joined the company in 1976, and has held many different positions within the company such as
president and chief operating officer. Powell was born in Denver, Colorado in 1954. He
graduated from Harvard University in 1976 with his undergraduate degree. He then earned his
masters degree from Stanford University three years later. He was hired by General Mills in
1979, and has been a dedicated staff member ever since.
