The live line crew PESCO GSO Circle is ready to handle the following live
line maintenance activities on Normal as well as Angle/Dead end Towers without
interruption of normal supply.
1-Replacement of defective insulator units on normal as well as angle /D.E towers.
2 -Cleaning/washing of insulator string on normal and D.E structures in Sandy and
industrial polluted area circulated vide
3- Installation/replacement of vibration dampers and alignments of clamps and
arching horns.
4 - Work on tubular and landative towers due to less safe working distance /limit of
approach is not allowed. Also replacement of jumpers on any dead end towers is
prohibited under live line SOP.
You are kindly requested to direct your sub formations to supply the list of those T/L
having the above outlined problems with mention of name of ckt, controlling
breakers at both ends and the location to be worked on in priority order as early as
possible so that the crew may schedule a maintenance programme with prior
approval of SE GSO Circle PESCO Peshawar and necessary hold off approval from
RCC Islamabad.
The live line maintenance will not only avoid long power outages in form of planned
and unplanned shutdowns but will also save the company from monetary loss also,
especially if bulk consumers are given un- interrupted supply.

success and fruitful results of the programme and the most important your prayers
and best wishes for the safety of live line workers.
