Final Exam Crisis Communication


Take Home Individual Assignment, Paper and Presentation

Each Student must submit an academic paper (word format) and present it in the class of a Crisis
Communication case, as relevant to the course.
Provide problem backgrounds and solutions for your case; how would you manage it from the perspective of
Crisis Communication best practices. [You may choose an organization that you know and discuss the aspects
of Crisis Communication and how to best approach it using latest theories].
Beware of PLAGIARISM: It is unforgiving sin, no toleration for any of this act.
Should the students using a previous case study which described in the text book: they must restate the problem
using their own language (not a translation), what has been done, how, why, etc (5 W + H), what were the
results, and how would you better do it if you are facing the same case.
Relate your paper to the text books and journals we are using for this subject. Enrich it with other relevant
materials (including video in your presentation). You can (if needed) use these free online libraries to access
journals and books: www.pnri.go.id; and https://doaj.org .
Your paper must consist of six chapters with the following order:
1. Introduction (where you explain why you need to discuss the case, is it important, etc),
2. The Case (elaborate it in the most appropriate way),
3. Literature review (theories);
4. Analysis (reasons, relations to other cases and or theories, etc);
5. Recommendation (based on your own logical thoughts), and
6. References (Bibliographies).

Paper format:

It should be minimum of 12 pages, plus list of bibliographies (references) -- be ware of plagiarism.


Written in MS Word format (doc) using Times New Roman, 12 point, one and half (1.5) space.
Students must send the papers via email to: syafiqba15@gmail.com, three (3) days before exam;
Provide your hard copies of papers and slides directly to the lecturer on the Exam day.

Presentation:

Time allocated for each student is 20 minutes divided into 10 12 minutes presentation (for about 10 to 14
easy-to-read slides) and about 8-10 minutes for discussion.
Be as creative as you can; you may also include video, audio or graphs in your presentation.

Marks: Marks will be based on the following criteria:
