Location Notes
When we were in the process of
finding a location for our production,
we came across the idea of using
the car park rooftop of the Exchange
in Ilford. This was the best location
as it was unique and the significance
of
the
rooftop
showed
that
something was going to happen.
During the process of choosing this
location, a lot of paperwork had to
be put into place. This was to ensure
that it was safe and that we were
allowed to film. We were explained
to by the manager and the security
that there have been numerous
suicidal deaths that have taken
place previously, hence the reason
why there had to be paper work put
in place. The space of the rooftop
was enormous as there was nothing
that destroyed the significance of
the scene. In addition to this, it
allowed us to work with better shots
as we had a lot of room to work with.
I think that this was an excellent
choice for location, as the view was
attractive as well as the space was
useful. The manager and the
security had been very helpful and
lenient when deciding to use it, as
they helped us and instructed us
when they needed us to do or not do
anything.
