3/4 cup onion (minced) 3/4 cup carrots (minced) 1 egg 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper siomai wrapper
DIPPING SAUCE:
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon or calamansi
HOW TO MAKE SIOMAI:
Combine all the ingredients together except the wrapper.
Wrap the meat in siomai wrapper by placing about 1 tbsp of meat in the center of the wrapper then press all the sides to the middle leaving an open space on top. (See pictures on the right hand side.) Place all the wrapped meat in the steamer. Steam for 20-25 minutes. Serve with dipping sauce. Serve hot. Enjoy!
(To avoid sticking, brush the steamer with some oil.)
