Literacy Inquiry:

Dear Parents:

Did you have a good weekend? Great!

Time to start another week of fun
learning with us!
This week our big hit will be the 2D &
3d shapes snack party! This is usually a
very much fun and memorable activity
for the kids!

Unit of Inquiry:
Central Idea: The interdependence
of insects and other living things
impact our environment.
This week we will focusing on the
physical characteristics of insects.
We will be singing the insect body
parts song, building an insect puzzle,
as well as reading insect books with
a focus on Dragonflies.

This week we are practicing with the

formation of letter D, creating
letter D Dragonflies and Donuts!
We will be introducing the sight word
No and reviewing all sight words in
morning messages and centers.

Math Inquiry:

In Math we will continue learning

about 3D shapes with a focus on
cubes, spheres and cones.
We will also be introducing the
measurement concept and comparing
things to each other( Which is
bigger, smaller, taller, shorter,
etc.)
