Classroom Technology Rules

All electronic devices are to be used for educational purposes only.

Computer and iPad Guidelines
1. The teacher will assign you a specific number computer or iPad. Be sure that you always use
your assigned computer or iPad. Do not use another students device.
2. Sign into your student account. Do not access another students account.
3. Stay on approved websites. Do not open web pages that are not being used for assignments.
4. Do not have food or drinks around the devices at any time.
5. Do not change any of the default settings.
6. Do not delete any files stored by other students or your teacher.
7. Be sure to sign out of your account when class is over.
8. Do not unplug any cords from the computer.
9. Do not damage the devices in any way.
10. Be sure that all sounds are turned off.
11. Do not take pictures or record videos unless approved by your teacher
12. When class is over, make sure you turn off the computer and/or plug up the iPad to charge.
13. If you find a problem with your device, report it to your teacher immediately.
14. Always remember these devices are school property. Take care of the devices, and never let them
travel outside of this classroom.

Cell Phone Guidelines

Cell phones will not be permitted unless otherwise stated by the teacher.
If you are caught using your cell phone without permission, it will be sent to the office.
If cell phones are permitted, they must only be used for the assignment.
Texting, using social media, or taking pictures and videos are not allowed at any time in class.
If you have a family emergency and need to check your phone, let the teacher know at the
beginning of class.
Camera Guidelines
Cameras are only allowed for special occasions.
Your teacher will tell you when cameras are allowed in class.
You are not allowed to take and post pictures of anyone without his or her permission.
If you fail to follow the guidelines, your privileges of using technology in class will be taken
away from you.
