EXT. ALLEYWAY (DAY)
The alleyway floor is a filthy, grimy and disease ridden
area. The insides of the bins are filed with insects,
there is a heroin needle on the floor along with a shard
of broken glass..
The protagonist, EWAN is sitting on the filthy alleyway
floor in an awkward, almost painful sitting position.
His legs are outstretched and this helps show that his
feet are twitching in a subtle way.
CUT TO:
Twitching finger
CUT TO:
Twitching mouth
EWANS face has a blank yet terrified expression,
implying that he is in a situation he cannot escape. The
theme of isolation is strong in this shot.
EWAN is sitting in an awkward, painful sitting position.
His whole body looks disjointed; its starting to shake
more vigorously as seconds pass.

CUT TO:
The antagonist, NAWES back, his whole body is still,
statue like. He is looking forward at EWAN.
NAWES finger is tapping a metal arm on a chair. The
sound of the finger tapping carries on over the sequence
as non-diegetic score music.
NAWE is fixing his tie, making himself look presentable.
NAWE is still fixing his tie and he is getting himself
comfortable in his chair. He has an angry, determined
look on his face, like he has some vendetta against EWAN.
NAWE
(Voice over)
Your own mother, you slit
her throat, you slit
her like a rabid dog.
The voice-over continues through the next four shots,
stopping at the arrival of the dead mother.
CUT TO:
THE HOMELESS MAN sitting on the floor. He is hunched up
with his knees tucked into his chest, suggesting that he
is sad or cold. He is staring blankly into space.
EWAN is beginning to shiver and twitch more wildly now,
his whole body, especially his face and eyes in
particular.
THE HOMELESS MAN is staring blankly into space.
CUT TO:
THE DEAD MOTHER who is in some sort of heavenly, white
environment. Her face is shiny plastic except for her
eyes, which are distinctly separate. She is staring
blankly into space with her large open eyes.
NAWE is laughing to himself. He sharply looks up at EWAN,
implying that he has some unsettled resentment towards
him.
THE HOMELESS MAN slowly turns towards EWAN, the look on
his face changes from disorientated to angry, suggesting

EWAN has done him wrong. He starts to rise up to his
feet, until he is standing up right.
EWAN is continuing to shake on the floor. He is starting
to sweat and hyperventilate. His eyes become wider with
terror and the realisation that his life is about to come
to an end.
THE HOMELESS MAN stares at EWAN, he has an annoyed,
revengeful sort of expression on his face, as if he is
ready to get his justice from our protagonist.
THE HOMELESS MAN starts walking towards EWAN. He is
walking very slowly and eerily, maybe to psychologically
torture EWAN even more.
When he reaches EWAN he stares straight at him with wideopen eyes and says something that relates to the past.
NAWE
(Deep voice)
You shouldve just given
me some change.
THE HOMELESS MAN starts dropping pennies. He does this to
emphasise his point about their past encounter.
EWAN is choking by this point, struggling to breathe, as
he knows that his reality is about to come to a bloody
end. He is twitching uncontrollably at this point, so
much so that his pupils have disappeared from his eyes.
CUT TO:
A broken shard of glass on the grimy. filthy alleyway
floor.
NAWE, he is smiling manically at this point.
THE HOMELESS MAN, standing in front of EWAN, pushes out
his tongue and pretends he is slicing it. He does this
quite slowly as he obviously wants EWAN to suffer before
he dies.
NAWE is still smiling, laughing at this point.
THE DEAD MOTHER moves her next to the left until it is
resting on her shoulders. There is a horrendous cracking
noise whilst she does this that echoes through EWANS
mind.

All of a sudden, this moment of EWANS life plays back in
his mind. It goes at a break neck speed, so much so that
all we can see is NAWES revengeful face at the end of
it.
EWAN accepts his fate and brutally cuts out his own
tongue, probably to escape the demons that he cannot get
rid of.
