Camp Rock Creek JC Application

This year we will only be able to take approximately 30 junior counselors to Camp Rock
Creek. To be a JC you must have completed your freshmen year of high school,
complete a type-written response to the following questions. This application must be
turned in before May 3rd, 2010. Applications will be reviewed by the camp directors and
JC’s will be selected and notified before or on May 10th, 2010. Those who are selected to
be JC’s must complete the criteria below prior to May 10th, 2010 in order attend camp. If
they do not complete the criteria before May 13th then an alternate will be notified and
will attend in their place. RETURN TO DCYG BOX IN YC OR OFFICE AREA.

1. In your words, why do you desire to go to Camp Rock Creek and what is the
purpose of our camp session?

2. Describe where you are right now in your relationship with God. Do the people
you come in contact with know you are choosing to be an example of Jesus? (Be
honest, we know where you’re at).

3. What contributions/talents to you feel God has given to you to work with the
3rd-8th grade campers? What weaknesses do you have?

4. How is our camp session going to change what you do in your daily life? Many
times we go on trips and nothing changes. Read Philippians 2. How are you
going to serve others?

5. To complete the application process, you must do the following:

Additional Criteria for Selected Junior Counselors (Must complete by May 10th)

_____ Prayerfully prepare for this trip. Pray with group and others as much as possible.
_____ Be active in the youth group by attending 50% of all activities and participate in
other activities in order to build good relationships prior to Camp Rock Creek.
_____ Complete 5 hours of service in 2010. We will need the date, time, place of
service, description of service, and signature of supervisor/youth minister. You
cannot receive any payment and service cannot be for a family member.
_____ Pay $60 JC registration fee.

June 7-12 Camp Rock Creek!!!

All selected JC’s must attend a pre-camp staff meeting!
