General:
Items: - The Method Statement For Painting Works.

Aim:
The aim of works is to describe painting installation works for carbon steel pipe,
support, tray/trunkingto ensure compliance with contract requirements
approved shop drawings, materials, specification and quality control.
III.
Scope of Works:
This scope of work shall include painting system of the SAIGON M&C TOWER
project

Methodology:
1) Before primer, all dirt, dust, grease, oil or other foreign matters shall be removed
by scrapers, wire brushes and solvents.
2) All finished surfaces shall be free from runs, drops, ridges, waves, laps, brush
marks and variations in color, texture and finish. Coverage shall be complete,
and each coat shall be so applied as to produce a film of uniform thickness.
Special attention shall be given to ensure that all surfaces including edges,
corners, crevices, welds and rivets receive a film thickness equivalent to that of
adjacent painted surfaces
3) Adjacent areas and installations shall be protected by the use of masking tape,
drop cloths or other approved precautionary measures. Metal surface adjacent to
surfaces to receive water thinned paints shall be primer and/or touched-up prior
to the application of water thinned paints.
4) The first coat on render or board finishing shall include such repeated touching
up of suction spots to produce a uniform color.
5) Paint only in a well-ventilated area for avoided poisoning with thinner.
6) Attention to all material and floor on the painting area for avoid paint dripping and
damages.
7) Colour of paint shall be showed as table 1
