The Character Counts Pillar for February is

Tell us why you picked this job? Well, I

used to work here a few years ago. First
of all, I think this is a great school. Also, I
want to look for ways as a principal to
provide more opportunities and make
you guys as successful as possible.
What are your goals and aspiration for
the school this year? One of the things
this year is that we have Chromebooks.
We are getting students prepared for
using technology to be college and career
ready. I want to see students involved in
school, achieving their goals, and getting
involved with the afterschool program
and sports. I just really want Yosemite to
be seen as the great school it is.
What did you want to be when you grow
up? I wanted to be a doctor, astronaut,
store clerk, and a teacher.
What is your favorite asset about
Yosemite? The most important thing is
the students, and the potential of every
student. Our job is to figure out what is
inside every student so that we can help
them connect to their future.
Is this your first time being a principal? I
was a summer school principal, but that
doesn't really count, so this is my first
time being the Principal.
What is a quote you have for YHS?

Citizenship

Citizenship is learning to
be good to one another.
Winning doesn't make you a
better person, but being a better
person will make you a winner.

Pledges- Tues. Feb 16

Do you think your team is well coordinated
when playing? Why? Our students have a lot of
natural talent and they have done an excellent
job performing as a team.
Do you think your team is the best because they
are undefeated? The team is doing extremely
well this year and the teams strength are the
ability to work together and push themselves
and work hard to meet their expectations. I
think my team is the best because we will bring
the Globetrotters winning streak to an end.
What is your teams strategy to win the game,
and how do you accomplish this? They share the
ball, push the ball up & down the court as fast as
possible, limit teams to one shot per possession,
and fight for rebounds. So far this year they did a
great job at limiting turnovers. Its too bad the
season is short but it's been a blessing to work
with these guys. I can't wait to make them run
another lap.

Valentines Day shouldnt always have to be

about love. Some people talk about that it
should be a next Thanksgiving Day. Okay, well,
why cant it be a day where your friends show
you love & how much they appreciate you. Its
almost similar to another Thanksgiving Day. Do
you really need to have a boyfriend or girlfriend
so you can feel loved? DONT THINK SO! You
should feel love all the time!
