Bear Puzzle with Amro

Amro, today we had a few puzzles laid out for you and your friends to play with. I carefully
observed you as you use your right hand to take the bear puzzle. You started taking pieces of
puzzle out and you tried to fit them into its corresponding board cutouts.
At one point of the game, we started naming the colours of the puzzle pieces you held in your
hands. You did very well at naming all the colours until you got to brown. You looked at me
and said what colour is this, Teacher?, I said Thats a tricky one, isnt it Amro? Ill give
you a clue, it starts with a brrrr and immediately you said Brown!. Good job, Amro! The
game went on and must I say you had a great big smile on your face upon completing the
puzzle, well done Amro!
Amro, you displayed an interest in puzzles. You showed great problem solving skill as
you learn to turn puzzle pieces until they fit. You were being exposed to language
around this process and you were also recognising the different colours in our
environment.
You showed great focus, engagement and perseverance to reach your goal. Well done,
Amro. Amro, perhaps next time we could explore different puzzles to develop and
extend your problem solving skills.
