INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAILING TO SEC OF TREASURY:

Note: This mailing is going to be sent REGISTERED MAIL return receipt. The Registered mail number
that is going on this mailing will be used again on other items. Retain the number in your files for future.
Fill in the blanks on each letter and the Bill of Exchange with the appropriate date, numbers as above, and
signature in blue ink. One copy of each letter will go to Paulsen and one copy goes to your file. Do not put
any amount in the total amount area.
The Bill of Exchange on the 100% cotton paper goes to Paulson. The other goes to your filewrite COPY
written on the back.
The 1040-V form goes with just that information on it: name in all caps, SS#, etc. Do not put any amount
on it. Do not try to sign it anywhere.
Send it all in a manila envelope. Contents of envelope:
1.
Currency Exchange
2.
Non Neg Charge Back
3.
Bill of Exchange (100% cotton copy)
4.
1040-V (I usually put a sticky note on ES that simply says please adjust this account)
5.
copy of UCC-1, signed on the bottom in blue ink
6.
copy of the presentment(s) that you are accepting for value, stamped Accepted for Value and
signed
Take all of this to the Post Office, but do not seal the envelope yet! You must get the Registered Mail
number to put on the letters before you put them in the envelope. When all the numbers have been put on
the letters and the Bill of Exchangethen seal the manila envelope and present it to the postal clerk who
will take it from there. Cost of sending Registered Mail about $7-$8; get return receipt requested.
