Unit 311: Criteria 1.2
Miss Bowater

Strengths
You have created a musically successful sixteen bar major chord progression
including:
One 7th chord
3 extended chords
One chord not built from stacked thirds
One secondary dominant chord

Improvements
You have a few changes to make to your roman numerals as some of them are
incorrect:
Bar 3 Delete the IV7 roman numeral (it is IVMaj7)
Bar 9 is a ii sus2 chord. You need to change this
Bar 12 is a iii9 not a I9.
You need to flatten the 7th in bar 8 if you want it to be a 9 chord (always use the
flattened 7th in an extended chord). However I am not sure this chord works
following the chord V in bar 7. This is currently what is preventing your chord
progression from being harmonically coherent (distinction). The V naturally wants
to resolve to chord I. Have a play and see what you think. It does however not
sound good as a I9 so you would need to create an extended chord somewhere
else.
You also need to add a recording of your chord progression being played to give
it a practical setting.
