Figure 13 displays how the dimensions of the square pyramid were
found. A side length of one of the four equilateral triangles is equal to the
side length of one edge of the tetrahedron. Thus making all of the equilateral
triangular faces equal to 8.72 cm. Because all of the equilateral triangular
faces are 8.72 cm and the triangular face shares its side length with the
square face, the side length of the square face is also 8.72 cm. In a square
all of its side lengths are equal, thus making all of its sides 8.72 cm.
With the dimensions of the tetrahedron and regular square pyramid found, the volumes of
each can also be found.
