Understanding Asian American Adolescents Lesson Plan

Objective- To explore different Asian cultures and compare them to your own. Realize how
stereotyping can affect students and teachers in the classroom. Learn teaching strategies to
incorporate a multicultural curriculum into the classroom.

Grade Level- Appropriate for learners of all ages.

Materials- Prezi, Elmo, video clips, pictures, books.

Activity- Interact with the class discussing stereotypes and there effect on teachers and students
in the classrooms.

Evaluation- Ask the class how they plan to incorporate cultural awareness in the classroom.
