Skill is a learned ability to carryout a task
with the predetermined result after within
a given amount of time energy.

Skill India Plan

Skill India is an initiative of Government of

India .
It was launched by our Prime minister Mr.
Narendra Modi, on 16th July, 2015.

Objective of the plan

To create opportunity, space and scope for the
development of the talent of Indian youth.

It aims at providing training and skill

development to 500 million youth of our
country by 2020.

Schemes :
Pradhan Mantri Kausal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
This is a scheme for skill training by the ministry of skill
development and entrepreneurship through National skill
development corporation.
This application will cover 24lakh people.
Monetary awards and certificates will be given to the
trainer.

Skill Loan scheme :

Under this scheme loan from Rs. 50001.5lakh will be given to the youth who are
seeking to attend skill development
programme.
Sanction letters for the first ever skill loans
were handed out by the prime minister to
aspiring trainee.

Catering
Electronic gadget repair
Multimedia and Animation
Gems industry
Real estate
Carpenter ...... Etc..

Advantage of skill India

It will raise confidence, improve productivity
and give direction through proper skill
development.
Skill development will enable the youth to get
blue collar jobs (employees whose job entails
physical work).
Skill development would reach the rural and
remote area .

Under the program trainees will be trained not only to
meet domestic demand but also the international.
The course methodology of skill India would be
innovative , which include games, group discussion
,case study etc..
Tailor-made, need based programmes would be
initiated for specified age group which can be like
language and communication skill, personality
development skills, behavioural skills , managerial
skills, etc..
