Reflection

Student Name: Makanani Keomaka

Date: 2/5/2016
Artifact Description: Can O Your Town Using drawing tools such as
shapes, lines, text, etc on programs like paint or Powerpoint to create a
soup can label using your imagination.
What you learned: I was immediately excited for this assignment
because when I read the instructions I thought about how fun it would
be to cover my canned goods in my cabinet with fun designs. The only
difficult part of this activity was trying to figure where to position
certain things like the pictures, the ingredients box, the bar code, and
the activities box. I tried to figure out a way to position them to where
it looks even and is pleasing to the eye. In the end, I thought it turned
out great and it was very fun to create. Now I cant wait to print them
out a replace my soup labels.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I think that this is a
very fun and creative activity for the students. Doing this assignment, I
learned how to create something fun that I could use in real life in my
home. This activity could also be very beneficial in the classroom. It
could be used as a lesson plan and instead of the topic being your
town, it could be something like their favorite food, or sport, or activity,
etc. This will teach students how to be creative and bring out their
artistic skills.
