Next show picture of Indian god (Ganesha, Vishnu, etc.) on the

(provide paper as needed)
Rotation prep:
Explain both rotations
Leave time for students to divide up and begin rotations
Rotation 1:
Rotation 1 will consist of an explanation of the book, Midnights
Children, why we read it and what happened concerning religious
conflicts and imperialism (2 min)
Have students get with a pair and fill out a fill in the blank work
sheet over a reading that will be provided (reading will explain
religious conflict and imperialism in India) (3 min)
Have a matching game set up, ask students to try to match the
Indian god with the name of the god (3 min, if they dont finish
because of time then its ok)

Rotation 2:
Have game set up where there are two goals, split up the group
up into two teams, purposefully make the teams uneven with a
greater number of kids on one side and a lesser number on the
other. Give the larger team a greater number of objects to shot in
the goal and the smaller team a lesser number of objects to shot
in the goal. Giving them the same amount of time to throw most
amount of objects in the goal as possible, count up who
accumulated the most goals when the time is finished. Explain
that the larger team won because of their obvious advantage and
