11 Inspection and testing on completion of the installation

11.1 Installations using expanding anchors, resin bonded anchors or through type anchors
installed in structures which do not have a cavity.
11.1.1 After installation each anchor device should be submitted to an out force of 6 kN
(unless it includes elements designed to deform) to confirm the soundness of the complete
assembly including the structural anchor. Load testing devices should direct the reaction
loads at least 50mm from the centre line of the anchor device and, in the case of masonry,
into adjacent masonry units in order to test the strength of the mortar joint as well as the
structural anchor, as shown in figure 15. The complete assembly should sustain the force
for a minimum of 15 s without failure or deflection or any signs of cracking or any other
form of failure of the surrounding structure, including mortar joints in the case of masonry.

11 Inspeco e ensaios sobre a concluso da instalao

11.1 Instalaes que utilizem ncoragens de expanso, ancoragens com
resina bi-componente ou ncoragens instaladas em estruturas que no
possuem cavidade.
11.1.1 Aps a instalao de cada dispositivo de ancoragem o mesmo deve
ser submetido a um teste de fora de 6 kN (a menos que inclua elementos
destinados a deformar) para confirmar a solidez do conjunto completo,
incluindo a ncoragem estrutural. Dispositivos de teste devem distribuir a
carga aplicada por pelo menos 50 milmetros a partir da linha central do
dispositivo de ancoragem e, no caso de alvenaria, a fim de testar a
resistncia do conjunto de argamassa bem como a ancoragem estrutural,
como mostrado na figura 15. o conjunto completo deve manter a
integridade por um perodo mnimo de 15 segundos, sem falha ou
deformao ou quaisquer sinais de fissuras, ou qualquer outra forma de
falha da estrutura circundante, incluindo juntas de argamassa, no caso de
alvenaria.
