REFLECTION ON HISTORY OF RELIGION

After we discussed about history of religion, I got to know new

information that are very essential to the religion in the past also in
present time. There are many details that young people do not know so
this topic helps us, students to take our mind in the past events. To have
at least a glimpse of some important rituals and practices that our
ancestors did when we are still not yet living in the world. This topic
thought us college students to remember or know the things we still do
not know of the important contribution of the ancient faith of our
descendants to their gods.
Also, through this we had the chance to compare the similarities of
the different exercises or characteristics of the historical religion. We got
the opportunity of contrasting the differences of the religion in present
from the past. It tells us that even in the age of wherein there is no
civilization people still has a ways on how they can give gratitude and ask
for their wants and needs to the gods they believed in.
The history of religion made us realized that what happened in the
past are the reason why we are what we are now. In religion or anything
that influences us from the past events shaped us for what we are
practicing now, may it a festivals, prayers, rituals or beliefs we had in the
places we lived in. Learning the history of religion strengthen my
judgement to whatever things that are talking about history.
