The Importance of Early Childhood Education

In this paper, I took different topic than on my brainstorming before for
this assignment. I took education as my main topic, but in sector of early
childhood education, if in Indonesia, we called it as Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini
(PAUD). I choose that, because its really really important for parents in
educating their children. I want to make a thought that get in children to play
group or early childhood education program would help children find who they
are.
Progress of the days that happened at this time forces people to improve
their lives. One way to improve their standard of living is through education. No
wonder, many parents has compete to get their child school starting from
kindergarten to college. Even parents had no concerned about the cost that quite
expensive. Because that is in their minds is their kids can get education and high
prestigious job anyway, so it can lift degrees family someday.
However, parents dont realize that they had passed one level of education
is very important as a basis of further education, which is Play Group (Early
Childhood Education Programs). Parents usually send their children to
kindergarten or even jump directly to primary school. In fact, early childhood
education programs is important for children to understand the world of
education, either in intelligence or mental or physical dexterity that would affect
children's success in taking further education.
Even in many developed countries, it has done a researched of children in
primary school. Research shows that 70 of the 100% of children who received

early childhood education can follow the lesson better than the children who did
not receive early childhood education. Therefore, the authors argue that early
childhood education is very important. Why is that? Because there are many
benefits to be gained from early childhood.
The first benefit is introducing kids to educational instrument. Before
entering the world of education, children didnt recognize what class it is, how the
situation in it, what its the teachers, and how to socialize with their friends. When
they get into it, they will be shocked by the situation, so they will need
considerable time to adapt.
In contrast to children who receive early childhood education, they are
already familiar with it. For them all, that is not a new thing because they'd
learned in early childhood. There, they were introduced to the classroom situation,
introduced by the teacher, and taught how to socialize well, so they dont have to
need a long time to adapt, so they can focus on the lessons given by the teacher.
Second, those who receive early childhood education, generally is under
the age of five years, where the age is a golden age. What is golden age? Golden
Age is the period of their gold, where a child's brain is in a period of optimal
progress. At these times, the brain can grow very rapidly. So that if they get proper
stimulation, the brain will grow very maximum. Children at this age learn through
observation, experimentation, and communicate with others, so it is appropriate
for them to get in early childhood, because early childhood education methods
were implemented to optimize the ability of the child.
Therefore, providing early childhood education to children is very
important, before inserting them into kindergarten and elementary school. This is
because early childhood education can prepare everything they would need to the
real education. In addition, their age is the Golden Age, which is children can
develop their brainpower optimally should be maximized as possible.
