Lucy Ball | February 23, 2016

Ms. Ryan Grandma's Houses music teacher, came into the classroom and talked to the chlidren about the circus. Ms Ryan also
told the children that they need to follow directions. When Ms Ryan told the children to walk over to the parachute, Lucy walked
over the the parachute and sat down. She waited until Ms. Ryan told her to grab the parachute. When Ms. Ryan told the children
the lift up the parachute, Lucy lifed up the parachute. Lucy lifted up the parachute and followed the rest of the directions. When Ms
Ryan brought out her puppets she told the children "to wait until all the puppets are layed out on the ground." She told the children
to think about what circus character they want to be. Ms Ryan told the children to stay seated until she taps them on their head.
Lucy waited until Ms Ryan tapped her on the head. Lucy picked up the tiger and waited until Ms Ryan talked abou the tiger. When
Ms Ryan talked about the tiger, Lucy roared like a tiger and follwed the rest of the directions of the song.

Lucy and her frieneds worked together on a 100 piece shark puzzel. Lucy and her friends communicated with one another. Lucy
listened to her friends and follwed directions. One of her friends said, "Lucy, place that piece right here." Lucy followed her friends

directions and put the piece in the puzzel. She looked at her friend and said "thanks".

Lucy and her class did a relay race. The teacher explained to the children that they must balance the egg on the spoon and walk to
the the slide, the basket ball hoop and walk around the tables with out having the egg fall. "If the egg falls, then you must start back
at the beginging, " the teacehr said. When it was Lucy's turn she put the egg on the spoon and began the race. After Lucy got the
the slide, she dropped the egg and went back to the begining. When she started again she walked much slower and took her time.
Just as she was about the cross the finish line, She dropped the egg again. The teacher told her to pick it up and finsh the race. As
soon as Lucy crossed the finish line, her classmates clapped for her.

During center time, Lucy chose the center that was at the writing table. A teacher came and told Lucy to spell her name using the
letters in front of her. Lucy looked at the letters and began to spell her own name. She took each letter in her name and lined them
up. Once she spelled her name, the teacher then told her to spell her last name. Lucy looked in the letter basket and began to sort
out the letters. As she was putting her last name together she started to sound out each letter to help her figure out what letter
comes next.

Lucy went up to the loft and went to the word wall. She grabbed three different words. She went over to the writing table and picked
up a paper and pencil and wrote the word whale. Lucy wrote the whole word with using upper case letters. She then went to the
next word. As she was writing her friend next to her looked at their paper. Lucy looked and her and said "this is the best Y I can
make cause its really hard to write." Her friend nodded her head in agreement. Lucy continued to write down two more words using
all upper case letters.

Lucy and a friend went into Dramatic Play area and played house. Her and her friend wanted to make it dark so they could pretend
to sleep. Lucy and her friend looked around the Dramatic Play area and found a sheet to put over the table. Lucy and her friend
worked together to put the sheet over the table. Once they got the sheet to stay Lucy pretended to go to sleep.

Lucy went to the book area and picked up the book"Sharks Valentine Surprise." As she read the story she explained why the shark
is still awake. She said "the shark is still awake because it is still bright outside." As she continued to look through the book a
teacher asked her "what make a good friend?" Lucy replied by saying "you can be a good friend by loving them." Lucy said this can
be done by kissing them and hugging them.

Lucy went to the science area and grabbed the heart counters container. Her and three of her friends took turns ling on the ground
and measuring how tall they are using the hearts. Lucy and her friends communicated with each other and helping one another put
the numbers in order.

Lucy and a friend went to the block area and took turns stacking the colored blocks. Lucy would wait until her friend was done
putting a block on top of another one. Another friend came up to Lucy and asked "can I play with your"? Lucy said "yes". Lucy
turned to her friend and said "lets build the biggest tower ever." Lucy and her friends continued to take turns stacking the blocks up
one by one.

Lucy played the cat in the hat game "I can do that with three of her friends. When it was her turn she picked up three cards and put
them in order from one to three. A teacher helped her read what her card said. The teacher read "Penguin walk to the door with the
boat under your left arm." Lucy picked up the boat and penguin walked to the door with the boat under her arm.
