1.Whatdidyoufeelyoulearnedmostfromworkingonthisscene?
ThethingIlearnedmostfromworkingonthisscenewiththisspecificgroupofpeopleisthe
importanceofcollaborationandprofessionalism,whichisrequiredtopresentaqualitytheatre
piece.Ilearnedthislessonfromthemultipleobstaclesmygroupfacedwithattendanceandlack
ofrehearsalandrunthroughs.Ialsolearnedhowtodealwithandenhanceyourselfandyour
characterwithouthavingtorelyonrehearsalwithmygroup.

2.Howwelldoyoufeelthatyouworkedduringrehearsal?Howmightyouhaveimproved
yourhabits?
IfeellikeIworkedashardasIcouldonmycharactergiventhecircumstancesandchallenges
thatIfacedduringthistimeofrehearsal.Now,thereisalwaysgoingtoberoomformore,
indepthrealizationsanddiscoveriesaboutonecharacter.AtsometimesImovedonandworked
onotherworkandusingthatextratimetoworkonmyscenewouldhaveenhanceditsomuch
more.
3.Wereyoupleasedwithyourfinalperformance?Whatwentwell?Whatwentwrong?
OverallIwaspleasedwithmyfinalperformance.IfeltlikeIsnappedintocharactervery
smoothlyandcontrolledmydialoguewithagoodtempo.IdidntfeellikeIwaswatching
myself,notbeingselfconsciousaboutmyactionsandactingchoices.TheonethingIfeellikeI

couldhaveimproveduponwouldbeconnectionsandrelationshipswithmypartners.Ifeltlike
ourrelationshipswerenotverystrong.
4.Areyoupleasedwiththechoiceofscenedidthematerialchallengeyou?Wastherea
highenoughrisk?

Thematerialwaschallengingsincetherewasnocleardescriptionofanycharactersortheir
feelingstowardeachother.Toovercomethischallenge,Imadechoicesthatmadesensetome
andthecharacterIchosetoportray.AnotherthingthatIstruggledinnotonlythisscenebutin
thebeginningoftheyearwasenergy.IfeellikeIfoundtheexcited,childlikeenergyofJackand
inhabitedittothebestofmyability.TherewasonlyriskinthesceneifIputforthmyown
urgency,andthatswhatIfeltlikeIdidinmyfinalperformance.
5.Whatdidyoulearnfromwatchingeachotherswork?
WatchingotherensemblemembersworkledmetoseveralrealizationsandthingsthatInoticed
overthecourseofmyownscenework.OnethingInoticedinothersworkwerebeats,andhow
theyaresotangiblewhenyoulistenandwatchtoeverycharacterslinesandactions.Another
thingInoticedinothersworkwasthatyoucanseewhenanactoriswatchingthemselvesand
theirchoices.OnelastthingIlearnedfromwatchingmyensembleisthatthelinesarevery
importantfortheaudiencetounderstandandcomprehendthesceneforthemselves,andwith
thoselines,theactorneedstoreadthesubtextandmakemeaningorthoselinesarejustwords.
6.Howdidyourchoice,orlackofchoosing,anobjective/goalstrengthen/weakenyour
work?Whatwouldyouhavechanged?
Itriedanalyzingmyandothercharacterslinestofindmyownobjectives,butIfoundthatjust
reactingandactingagainstortowardsothercharactersobjectivesisanobjectiveinitself.I

realisedthatthinkingaboutmyobjectiveswhileinthemiddleofasceneismuchmore
productiveformethanstaringatascriptandthinkingthroughit.Sometimesjusthavingareason
foreveryactionandlineacharacterdoesenhancesthehumanityofcharacters.
7.Whatareasofyourcraftareyoumostconfidentinandwhy?
TheareasofmycraftIammostconfidentiniswhenIplaycharactersthatarecloseandrelative
tomyownbeing,thathavespaceformetoputaspectsofmyselfintothatperson.Iamalso
confidentinmyseriousnessofpurposewithintheatre.Iamcontentonfocusingonactingand
theatrefortherestofmylife.
8.Whatareasdoyoufeelyoustillneedtoworkinandwhy?
AreasIstillneedtoworkoninmycraftisconfidenceandversatility.Recently,Ihavenoticed,
mymindmessesmyactingchoicesbecauseofselfdoubt.AnotherthingIhavenoticedrecently,
isthatIfeellikethelinebetweenmyselfandacharactergetblurred.Currently,thisblurredline
isenhancingmycharacter,makingthemhumanandthreedimensional,butImworriedabout
portrayingcharactersfarfrommymindsetandpersonality.
9.ExplainhowR.E.G.O.T.wasusedinyourwork.Whereareyoustrongestandwheredo
youstillneedwork?
InR.E.G.O.T,Ifindthatrelationships,goals,andobstaclescomeeasilywhenIanalyzescripts
andtrytogetacharactertocomeoutofmyselfnaturally.EnvironmentandtacticsarewhereI
hitaroughspot.Istrugglewithvisualizinganenvironmentanditsinhabitants,withoutitbeing
there.Ialsostrugglewiththinkingofandhavingspecifictacticsthataffectthewayacharacter
speaksandacts.

otherspresence.JackandSallyareexesmeetingforthefirsttimeandDaisyandTalbotona
date.
