Section 1: Review
The Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts has broadened the knowledge I have about a lot of aspects
related to the career I want to pursue, but most importantly, it opened up a window into myself that I
mightve never discovered if I didn’t choose to study at BTA. I discovered I wanted to direct and create
stories apart from just act out somebody elses. I discovered I had a burning desire to change the
industry and imrpove the world around me.

I learned better social skills and how to interact with other people. The process made me come face to
face with a lot of traits that I consider undesirable in myself, and it gave me the push to change. During
the course I was confronted by trauma that I had after an unpleasant experience in another similar
course, but it ultimately taught me that I made the right decision to pursue this one instead. I learned
how dysfunctional my exective dysfunction could get due to all of the unepcted theory work (that most
notably came from an uneducated stance and lack of eperience in the british school system). I learned
there are many people out there just like me after feeling isolated in my creative experession through
most of my life. Being surrounded by my brilliantly minded peers ewas a breath of ffesh air.

I learned how to kickstart making theatre. I learned different ways to tell the same story, I learned
constructive criticism and how valuable it is during the process of creating our scratch performance, and
I learned wyhen to ignore it. I

Section 2: Project Concept

I believe the concept and aim of our FMP was to put young people face to face with uncomfortable
topics, to show us how you can portray those themes and achieve different tones while doing it. I
believe choosing an untraditional style for the play we were to perform and work on helped to teach us
the basically endless possibilities that we might have as creators, to expose us to something different.
And I also believe that particular type of unspecified play makes it easier to interpret by us. And easier
to play with.
For the actual performance, I am expecting a low budget production in which we will mostly use
physically theatre and projections to convey our characterization set design, etc.

During the easter break, I had a lot of time to reflect on how I can take criticism in a more productive
way,a nd slowing my response time to a trigger will make it easier for me to deal with any situation that
might arise. I will try my best to improve upon what the practitioners believe I can do better on. I will
incorporate indepent study during the weekends.

Section 3: Evaluation
This section provides an opportunity for you to explain how you will reflect on and evaluate your work,
as both an ongoing activity and at the conclusion of your project.

You should describe how you intend to record your decision-making and how you will document
changes to your ideas as your work progresses.

The evaluation should be referenced to your stated aims and be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others you should comment on how this may impact either positively
or negatively and steps you can take to minimise disruption in your own progress.
