The speaking assessment task will integrate listening and speaking. It will include three tasks: one on social life, one on campus life, and one on university lectures. Candidates will listen to a one-minute recording, have 15 seconds to prepare, and 30 seconds to speak in response. Their utterances will be rated on fluency, coherence, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

We have decided to integrate listening with speaking. There
are going to be three tasks- One on social life, one on campus life, one on university lectures. Candidates are asked to first listen to a minute-long recording. After that, candidates will have 15 seconds to prepare and 30 seconds to talk to the computer. They are allowed to take notes when listening. The social life and campus life tasks are dialogues between two speakers and the lecture is a monologue. Utterances will be rated according to fluency and coherence, grammar, lexical resources and pronunciation.
