Features And Effects


The advertisement was inform, educate and
amuse the target audience, which is young
children and parents about crossing the road
safely. They used the song stayin alive to
entertain the young children with humour and
because the song is catchy. However, it is very
poplar among parents because it was released in
the year 1977. Also, the song lyrics, stayin
alive is linked to crossing the road safely because
if you dont cross safely, you wont stay alive.

The Movie trailer : Shrek 2, contains a variety


of features and effects to inform and appeal
to the target audience. For example, the
music; Funkytown Lipps INC and Smash
Town All Star for the different emotions they
respond with throughout the movie. Eddie
Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers are
the Voice Actors and are internationally
recognised celebrities which contributes to
appealing to an audience.

Strengths and
Weaknesses

There are various strengths and


weaknesses in the road safety advert. In
this advert to educate young children, it
is portrayed very clearly and stayin
alive is used and makes a better effect
on the parents of young children.
However, the quality and background are
a weakness because theyre not to a
good quality but can be seen as a
strength to entice to a younger audience.
