CAS requirement?
Basketball is a not a new sport for me but I really enjoyed it as it is the only team sport I know
of. I play another sport which is golf, but it is more of an individual sport in comparison with
basketball which is why I really enjoyed having to socialize with my team mates in basketball.
I also wanted to contribute with the schools team for sport.
Considered the ethical implications of their actions - I can be more open minded about others
ethics and principle believes through being in the basketball team.
Developed new skills - The new skills that I can learn and develop through joining the
basketball team is a cooperation skills and basketball techniques. Although it is not new for
me to play basketball, but through this activity I can improve and practice more with my
peers. This activity may help develop my skills as I become a better basketball player. It will
also help my cooperation skills as I will be playing as a team and not an individual, therefore it
is essential to communicate well and have a good relationship with every other member of
the basketball team.
Worked collaboratively with others - Since this CAS activity will be done as a team activity, I
think I would learn cooperatively better with the people around me. This CAS activity will be
done with the whole SMA basketball team which will help me improve my collaborative skills.
Through this we can collaborate well together and improve both our social abilities and
basketball techniques.
