Introduction
The Project entitled “Anganwadi” focuses on
making the children of the village educated and
aware of how important education is in all aspects
of life.

I choose “Anganwadi” because I love to spend time

with kids, and it provided me with a healthy and
proper environment to interact with the kids and
helps me in performing various physical activities
with the students that can make them understand
the effectiveness of education more rather than
providing them with just some theoretical
knowledge.
The kids were not aware of the consequences of
poor study structure in their daily lifestyle on the
very first when I tried to check whether they knew
what they are studying it left me quite shocked that
they did not have any.
I chose that “Anganwadi” because kids who came
here to study with their parents can’t afford money
to provide them with a good quality of education, so
I go there and try my best to give them a good
education.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION AND THE

CAUSE FOR THE PROBLEM

The problem that arises here is the poor

education quality, poor food, and bad
infrastructure.

Reasons/causes: -

• UNSKILLED TEACHERS
Most of the “Anganwadi teachers are not well
educated and if the teacher is not educated, how
can she teach students properly.
•IMPROPER ENVIRONMENT
As most of the “Anganwadi” there is an improper
infrastructure, no fan, and no proper cleanness,
so if the students didn’t get a comfortable place
to study how can they study in such a place

• IMPROPER FOOD
As most of the “Anganwadi” I saw when they
served food to kids, the plate was not fully
cleaned, and they used to overcook food.

Hence still after 72 years of Independence the

villages in India have not changed much which
affect them due to change in lifestyle and sanitary
condition throughout the planet.
OBJECTIVE TO BE ACHIEVED

The main objectives of this project are: -

1.To make these village children educated.
2.Improve the quality of food good.
3.To make the room clean for the kids so they can
study.
4.To help them in learning personal hygiene.
STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVE

•First, I tried to outreach into their minds to get a

proper idea of their basic knowledge.
• So, after gaining their status of knowledge I
divided my project into 3 phases which are: -
PHASE 1
In phase 1 for the first day, I introduced myself to
everyone in the school.
For the first time when I meet those kids to be
honest, they don’t look like students they don’t sit
in a proper manner so the first thing I did that was
I show to how to sit in a class properly.

PHASE 2
In phase 2, Since most of the “Anganwari” in India
provide meals to these students hence the
students had a habit of rushing to their plates and
started eating without even washing their plates
or their hands.
So, I made it mandatory for these students to
wash their hands as well as their plates before
taking their meal. For the first few days I helped
them, but once they became aware about all the
good effects of it, they started taking it as a fun
activity.

Here I would also like to thank a teacher Reeta

Ma’am who helped me in maintaining an eye on
the food that is being served through meal and to
create a one-on-one interaction with every kid
during my entire project.
On each day I used to check the cleanliness of the
school’s kitchen as well as the hygiene of the
cooks working in the kitchen.
PHASE 3
In phase 3, I mostly tried to interact with the
students about their understandings of what I
have taught till.

Also, during the last days of my working in the

“Anganwari” I did some funny chit chat with
those kids.
EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROJECT

From the beginning of the project i.e., from

20th June 2022 to 15thJuly 2022 we easily
came across about 29 students. We played
games. We also came about 12 families
during the project village who were ready to
send their children to the Anganwari who
have been working under poor health
condition for a daily wage of around 200
rupees.
The Teacher also started taking a bit more
consciousness in serving the food after I
informed them about the usage of hand wash
and serving in clean utensils Teachers in the
Anganwari also started washing their hands
before they take their lunch as well the kids
made awareness about the impact of
cleanliness.
CONCLUSION
Through this service to our society, I fell so
proud that I have done something This
project has really helped me digging deep into
their minds
I hereby would also like to thank the ma’am in
the Anganwari for providing me a guidance to
express myself in a better way amongst the
kids.
I would also like to thank Lovely Professional
University for providing me such an
opportunity to serve our society and helping
me in gaining the true meaning of knowledge
and to become a better citizen for the society
as well for our country.
