CHAPTER-1

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of study


Food for life Nepal is a non-profit , non-sectarian public charitable trust
registered under the government of Nepal 2015A.D. Food for life Nepal’s
programs are based on the belief that one meal a day brings thousands of
children to school.
The food for life Nepal project is a modern day revival of the ancient cultural
of hospitality. Since the beginning of recorded time sharing of food has been a
fundamental part of the civilized world. In Nepal, such hospitality was based
on the understanding of the equality of all being.
Food for life Nepal believes in providing children with the right nutrition to
support their education .Food for life Nepal program is based on the belief that
“YOU ARE WHAT TOU EAT” . Therefore , one nutritious meal a day brings
thousand of children to school. Presently, food for life Nepal provides mid- day
meal to +1600 students in 7 government schools. Food for life Nepal’s primary
mission is to bring about peace and prosperity in Nepal through the liberal
distribution of pure plant –based meals prepared with loving intention. We
believe in providing children with the right nutrition to support their education.
Food for life Nepal’s program is based on the belief that one nutritious meal
prepared with compassion and love , the way a mother would prepare a meal
for her child , brings thousands of children to school daily. Children need to be
fit and healthy to learn and be educated.

1.2 Objective of study


 The main objective of their visit was to observe the food for life Nepal
program.
 To help the children who are the victims of violence and child labor.
 To encourage volunteers to assist and providing services to the childr
1.3 Significance of study
Nepal has made remarkable progress in tacking malnutrition in children
impacted stunting among under – fives. Through this report trainee got more
information about the present situation of governmental school children and
way of treating them. Trainee had new experience and learning through their
task they were given and not only that but trainee get to know their capacity as
well generate different creative idea. Trainee was unknown about many things ,
now trainee came to know about the history of organization and as well the
problem faces by the children on their education due to hunger and poverty.
Trainee during school visit could feel the different in the student’s study which
was improving. Trainee also found the environment of food for life Nepal Was
really friendly and co-operative . overall , trainess, experience was really nice
which helped trainee to develop inner capacity and leading capacity to guide
volunteers in any field they work for the upcoming days. Trainee were able to
build good relationship with supervisor ,staffs, and other school member that
made them to work easily and comfortable. Trainees were able to built good
relationship with local people. Nepal must continue to invest in reducing
malnutrition and human capital development focusing on children under five
years of age and adolescents in order to be able to develop. Children need to be
fit and healthy to learn and be educated. We can address the hunger issue of all
the children of Nepal if we can all come together , bring the change.

1.4 Limitation of study


The major limitation of the study are as follows:
CHAPTER-2 MAJOR ACTIVITIES

2.1 Activity :1

To take part in 30 rupees challenge for fund raising activity. On 2nd Falgun,
Thursday trainees went to food for life Nepal hall situated at pulchowk and
arranged roses and cards into per person ten cards ten cards and rose. First the
coordinators started the challenge and went to Patan area to sell roses and
distribute cards. After selling they returned back to hall and felt excited to sell
roses in Basantapur are which was the targeted area for that day. After few hours
all the volunteers also arrived at food for life Nepal hall collected their roses and
cards and get ready for the challenge and all the coordinators with the volunteers
went to b Basantapur for their challenge and tried to sell as many roses as they
could and tried to spread love to many people and along with the rose, they
distributed card which was the gift from the children who helped them. After the
completion of the task, all the leaders collected the money from the volunteers and
gave the collected money to kusum who was new in-charge for that day and
returned back home. Trainee learn to interview .trainee also learn to play the role
of the leaders.

2.2 Activity 2:
1 My 30 rupees:

It is a campaign initiated to create an opportunity to the privileged children of


private schools who definitely have the heart and ability to contribute.

2 30 rupees’ challenge :
With the aim to support the daily mid-day meal program conducted by food for
life Nepal for the under privileged children ,”30 rupees challenge “ was started
on the 7th April 2018 Saturday.

3 Portraits for Fund Raising :


It is fund raising event which aims to generate fund for underprivileged
children through the means of art .

4 Mero EK Rupaya timro khaja kolagi:


It is a brand new campaign that supports the Mid-Day Meal ‘program run by
food for life Nepal to give youth the opportunity to work for the children by
raising fund.

5 planned and visited school:


Trainees first visited Shree Ram School and interacted with the children and
told them to prepare cards for the event and collected as many card as they
could.
6 Distribution of cards and selling of rose for raising fund:
To sell the roses and cards for fund raise.
7 Walk – a- t hon event :
To organize the walk –a-t hon with the food for life team members.
CHAPTER 3 LESSON LEARNING

1. Trainees learnt to interact and make a good relation with the people and
volunteers.
2. Trainee learn to play the role of leaders.
3. Trainees learnt to interact with foreigners and they learnt to behave
professionally. They event to be co-operative.
4. Trainee learnt to use available resources wisely.
5. Trainee learnt to play the role of leader.
6. Trainee learnt how to adjust in the new environment.
7. Trainee learn to interact and express oneself.
8. Trainee learn to take interview.
9. Trainee learn to be a punctual, patient and clam.
10.Trainees learnt to interact with children.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Food For Life Nepal (FFLN) is doing its best to eradicate
hunger and make the children educated as well as to make children come to
school, to make them self-dependent and to move forward in the society. Food
for life is doing its best to raise fund as well as for progress of the organization.
This organization is providing homely environment to the trainees. All trainees
did their work in co-operative way. The trainees are grateful to the supervisor,
staff and students for their cooperatives. The trainees had given full dedication
from their side with hope that every trainee would feel proud working as a
teacher in a school.
