Microsoft's HoloLens

Before moving to HoloLens , First of all we should know about "Windows Holographic" which is
an augmented reality computing platform created by Microsoft that is set to be introduced in
the Windows 10 operating system upon its release in 2015.

Code named "Project Baraboo," HoloLens had been in development for five years before its
announcement in 2015, but was conceived earlier as the original pitch made in late 2007 for what
would become the Kinect technology platform.

Microsoft has a vision for the future, which involves terms and technology straight out of science
fiction. Microsoft HoloLens is a smart glasses that is a cordless, self
self-contained
contained Windows 10
computer, uses advanced sensors, a high
high-definition
definition 3D optical mounted head display, and spatial
sound to allow for augmented reality applications, with a natural user inter
interface
face that the user interacts
with through gaze, voice, and hand gestures.

Holograms are said to be the next evolution in computing. Kept this vision in mind, hardware,
software, and user design engineers came together to create a new canvas for creators and
developers. Microsoft's HoloLens, together with Windows 10, introduces a powerful new holographic
platform.

You can see the world around you with 3D objects which remembered us Hollywood movies like"Star Trek" and "Minority Report".Another key thing is that Microsoft is trying to accomplish and not
trying to transport you to a different world, but rather bring the wonders of a computer directly to the
one you're living in. Microsoft is overlaying images and objects onto our living rooms.

Scientists at NASAs Jet Propulsion Laboratory will soon be exploring Mars using holograms of Mars
Rover images. They will work as if they can walk on the surface of Mars, an experience previously
impossible. As a result, they will be able to learn at a faster pace than ever before.
