For our piece we decided that our concept was

going to be nature versus technology. Half of

our group of eight would be nature and the

other half would be technology. We will
intertwine in the middle of our piece, and
hopefully our dance will be able to be seen as
we see our own dance. Our ending has not yet
been decided whether nature will win or
whether technology will win.
Our song is Big Boy by Balam Acab, it is two
minutes and twenty-four seconds.

Before we audition, we are cleaning it so that we have a higher chance of making it into
the show with a nice and clean piece.

We have finally gotten our piece to a clean place where we could feel good about
auditioning it. We will continue it the next time we have student choreography.

After the diagonal, everyone has their chance of choosing their own four counts of
choreography to get to the middle in a circle.

To audition we decided that technology is going to wear all black. Nature is going to
wear white tops, and black bottoms. We hope that this difference, they could totally tell
that there is a difference between both groups.

Technology will walk forward in between nature who is of the floor. And then last
minute raise their arms and the music will end.

We are majorly cleaning it so that it is clean by the time our dance show is. For costumes
we have nature in green short dresses. Technology in gray short dresses.

Reflection
I have really enjoyed my piece, I really like the concept that we have going on. I
really enjoyed my time working with my group, they all have been very cooperative. We
had many ideas, and everyone had a voice in the creative aspect of this. Of course there
will always be differences. But we always worked together to make sure that everybody
was well suited in our piece. There was times where we would hit a stump and not be
able to create anything. If these were to happen, we would take the day to clean the
piece, and hopefully think of something. I am so glad that we were chosen to come out in

the show, it was a great honor, and I would do it again if I could. I have enjoyed the
process, and I feel like I have learned a lot by working with them and the choreography
that we all helped create. Most of us tweaked the choreography so that we all had
something that we all really liked. Overall the creation process was very enlightening, I
wish we could of been in another dance all together. It was a great experience. I hope
our dance show goes great.
